In Cobb County: DUI Reduced to Reckless Driving

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Client was stopped for failing to maintain his lane by a police officer in Cobb County. The officer smelled alcohol emitting from the client. The client had to do several field sobriety tests, including the horizontal gaze nystagmus test (HGN); the walk and turn test and the one leg stand test. The officer indicated that the client had:
- 6 of 6 clues on the HGN test
- 5 of 8 clues on the walk and turn test and
- 1 of 4 clues on the one leg stand test.
The client was then arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Attorney Blevins was able to review the case and and point out issues with the administration of the field sobriety tests to the State. Attorney Blevins was able to get the DUI reduced to a reckless driving.
