COBB SUPERIOR COURT

Client was stopped for running a red light and having a tail light out. The officer approached her vehicle and smelled alcohol on the passenger. The Client performed field sobriety tests and was arrested fro DUI. Attorney Richard Blevins looked at the video of the stop and found several issues with the case. The prosecutor was prepared to take the case to trial, until he was shown the issues raised by Attorney Blevins.

The prosecutor agreed to reduced the DUI to reckless driving prior to a jury trial.

Client was extremely happy.

About Attorney Richard Blevins

Attorney Richard Blevins is a former Cobb County Assistant District Attorney and Assistant Solicitor General. He is a part-time criminal justice instructor at Chattahoochee Technical College in Marietta, Georgia.

He graduated third in his class at the DeKalb County Police Academy and achieved an intermediate certification from Georgia’s Peace Officer Standards & Training Council.

Attorney Richard Blevins was a former Detective with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, a former Police Officer with the Milledgeville Police Department and the DeKalb County Police Department.
